Senior Network Architect - Spring, TX (Hybrid, Houston Area)

iSphere is looking for a Senior Network Architect to take the lead on next-generation network design and implementation for one of our top clients in North Houston. This role isn t just about keeping the lights on it s about shaping the roadmap of a high-performance, secure, and scalable enterprise network.

What You ll Be Doing

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of advanced enterprise network solutions aligned with business goals and security best practices.

• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert across data center, WAN, and campus environments.

• Configure and optimize Cisco VXLAN fabrics, manage orchestration through NDFC (Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller), and ensure high availability across systems.

• Drive automation and assurance initiatives through Cisco DNA Center, delivering smarter, faster, and more secure network management.

• Design, deploy, and manage Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela or Meraki) to support a globally distributed, high-performance network.

• Develop architectural standards, documentation, and operational procedures to ensure long-term scalability and consistency.

• Mentor and train engineers sharing your expertise in design, troubleshooting, and emerging technologies.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture.

• Proven success as a technical lead on large-scale network deployments and migrations.

• Deep hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise technologies routing, switching, and network security.

• Mandatory experience designing and managing Cisco VXLAN and SD-WAN environments.

• Expertise with Cisco NDFC and DNA Center platforms for orchestration and automation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical solutions to both engineers and executives.

• A proactive, self-driven mindset you see challenges as opportunities to innovate.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking solutions.

• Familiarity with network automation using Python, Ansible, or other scripting/orchestration platforms.

• Advanced certifications such as CCIE, CCNP Enterprise/SD-WAN, or CCDP.
