Job Details

Kubernetes Engineer - SRE
Interview mode - In-Person interview at Client Location(Austin, TX)
Responsibilities
  • Architect and manage enterprise-grade Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE, or OpenShift).
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines and implement GitOps methodologies.
  • Drive automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, etc.).
  • Define and enforce security standards (RBAC, Pod Security Standards, vulnerability scanning).
  • Implement observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).
  • Optimize resource usage and cost efficiency of Kubernetes workloads.
  • Mentor and guide junior/mid-level engineers in Kubernetes best practices.
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with architecture and development teams on cloud-native strategy.
Required Skills
  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE roles, with 4+ years in Kubernetes.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes networking, storage, and security.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker, Helm, Operators, and service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
  • Advanced proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible).
  • Solid programming/scripting skills (Go, Python, or Bash).
  • Strong cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Hands-on experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
  • Experience with high-scale production systems.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks for containerized environments.
  • Experience with multi-cluster and hybrid cloud setups.
