Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer. In this role, you will will be paired with more experienced engineers to communicate and work closely with C2BMC Operational ISSOs in support of the Operational eMASS packages managed by the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) team. Additionally, under supervision, a qualified candidate will need to work closely with system owners, cyber peers, and other C2BMC functional areas to ensure the C2BMC developed systems attain and maintain appropriate STIG baselines prior to operational testing and release. The selected candidate is expected to assist with cyber product analysis, vulnerability assessment, and POA&M management to proactively maintain the STIG baseline. Primary focus for the qualified candidate will be to rotate and blend technical documentation, surge support for authorization packages in eMASS, assessing vulnerabilities in development work, and tracking engineering responses for system POA&Ms.

This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and is 100% onsite.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Operations, Cybersecurity Engineering
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
College-level knowledge of cyber capabilities such as patch management, Configuration Compliance management (i.e. STIGs, SRGs Vendor Guidance), multi-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, security event management active/passive system scanning, and defense-in-depth.
Recent familiarity with A&A packages for Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authority to Operate (ATOs) is desired. Application experience hardening Windows and Linux servers and workstations in accordance with GPOs, LAVMs, and STIGs is desired. Network design and software engineering backgrounds are a plus.
Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ or others)

The position requires entry level security engineering skills with a knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) technology and the eagerness to learn new technologies.
Knowledge of NIST standards, DoDI 8500.1, and RMF Security Controls are desired.
The successful candidate should also have a basic understanding of the Agile Development Lifecycle.
Effective interpersonal skills are required with an ability to support complex organizational relationships.
Technical document preparation and verbal communication skills are required for presentation of technical cyber issues and reports to internal stakeholders.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $68,000 - $119,830. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $78,200 - $135,470. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
