We are seeking a highly skilled Nutanix Architect / Senior Nutanix Infrastructure Engineer to support a complete Nutanix Architecture Refresh initiative. This role requires deep expertise in Nutanix compute, storage, networking, and hands-on experience with Prism Element (PE) and Prism Central (PC) administration.
The ideal consultant will be responsible for system analysis, troubleshooting, capacity planning, performance optimization, security enforcement, and disaster recovery automation within a mission-critical Nutanix environment.

Key Responsibilities
Nutanix Architecture & System Operations
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Nutanix platform architecture, including AHV hypervisor, distributed storage fabric, and networking components.
- Perform installation, configuration, expansion, and support of Nutanix PE (Prism Element) and PC (Prism Central).
- Execute advanced troubleshooting, debugging, and system behavior analysis.
- Configure and troubleshoot storage policies, replication, snapshots, and data protection domains (PD).
- Manage capacity planning, proactively scale infrastructure based on growth patterns.
- Work with CVM failures, node/block failures, data path issues, and cluster health alerts.
- Administer Prism features:
- Compression (inline/offline)
- Deduplication (cache/capacity)
- Erasure Coding (EC)
- Filesystem listing at global & container level
- Perform VM operations:
- Hot-add/hot-remove vDisk & vNIC
- VM updates
- vDisk extension
- Execute acli commands for VM power operations, network creation, multi-VM actions.
- Execute ncli commands for storage containers, time zone changes, network config (NIC/bridge modifications).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, VLANs, network segmentation, and Flow policies.
- Manage and troubleshoot environment isolation policies, firewall rules, and access control.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices, including encryption and role-based controls.
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery using Nutanix features (replication, failover).
- Manage data backups and maintain data integrity across clusters.
- Register remote sites, create PD policies, define schedules, activate/migrate PD.
- Perform Hypervisor / AOS / Prism Central upgrades and related troubleshooting.
- Manage cluster licensing, entitlement, feature enablement/removal.
- Create reports and scheduled jobs in Prism Central.
- Hands-on administration of:
- Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat)
- Windows Server platforms
Required Skills & Experience
- 8 12+ years overall infrastructure experience with 5+ years in Nutanix.
- Strong knowledge of AHV, AOS, DSF (Distributed Storage Fabric).
- Expertise in CVM management, cluster lifecycle operations, and failure remediation.
- Strong scripting/CLI hands-on experience (acli, ncli).
- Experience with security hardening, VLAN configuration, and network isolation.
- Ability to manage DR, replication, backup strategies, and multi-site setups.
