Job Title: SAP PLM Consultant
Location: Raleigh, NC - Onsite
Rate: $60/hr - $70/hr (W2 All-Inclusive on Danta Technologies Payroll)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Duration: Contract 6+ months and possibility for extension - This duration is subject to changes based on the project's requirement and/or the client's sole discretion.
Client Industry: Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or Medical Device industries


Note: They are not looking for a general SAP functional consultant they want someone who lives and breathes PLM in a complex, regulated enterprise environment.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP PLM Consultant with a strong background in SAP PLM PDM/PPM and S/4HANA implementations, specifically within Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or Medical Device industries.

The client wants someone who has:

  • Deep PLM expertise in SAP (not just surface-level knowledge)

  • Hands-on experience in regulated industries

  • Strong config, integration, and troubleshooting capabilities

  • Workflow and Fiori/UI5 know-how

  • Is comfortable collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders alike

Core Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

  1. Extensive SAP PLM Experience (9+ years)

    • Not just a general SAP consultant someone who specializes in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), especially PDM and PPM modules.

  2. Industry-Specific Experience

    • Must have worked in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or medical device manufacturing sectors that require tight compliance, traceability, and documentation control.

  3. Deep S/4HANA PLM Knowledge

    • Configuration of advanced PLM functionalities within S/4HANA, such as:

      • Engineering Change Management (ECM)

      • Document Management System (DMS)

      • EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) especially recipe/specification management

      • BOM Versioning & Classifications

  4. Workflow & Fiori Integration

    • Able to build custom workflow configurations (approvals, rules, templates) using Fiori or Web UI.

  5. Data Synchronization and Integration

    • Recipe BOM syncing, ECM handling for recipes, and managing complex spec data (values, characteristics, phrases, etc.).

    • Experience with CAD, DMS, PPM, and folder/document integration.

  6. Strong Functional-Technical Collaboration

    • Write Functional Specs (FS) and coordinate Technical Specs (TS) with the ABAP team.

    • Work across cross-functional teams to implement solutions end-to-end.

  7. Problem Solver

    • Expected to own and resolve user issues, including integration bugs, data conversion issues, and workflow glitches.

BonPreferred Skills:

  • Agile PLM Tools: Agile SDK, PX, WSX, Client, ACP

  • Third-party tools: Seal Systems, xECM/OpenText

  • Frontend apps: SAP UI5 (Fiori), NWBC

  • Data Migration Tools: SAP BODS

Soft Skills & Role Expectations:

  • Able to influence stakeholders and communicate at all organizational levels

  • Works independently without handholding

  • Can function as a lead or senior consultant in PLM areas
