Contract: 4+ Month ( hard stop at end of FY with uncertainty on extension into FY26)

In this role you will utilize your skills as a Battery test engineer to lead electrical and mechanical testing of Lithium-Ion batteries in coordination with other test engineers and technicians to validate battery packs for next generation consumer electronics. You will work with cross-functional teams on defining test cases, reviewing test scripts and analyzing data to ensure batteries meet the performance specifications
Key qualifications
Good understanding of engineering/applied science concepts
Understanding of Battery Cycler equipment like Maccor, Arbin, Gamry etc.. and their
use in appropriate applications
3+ year s experience in testing in lab environment with understanding of Lithium Ion
battery cell and packs preferred
Ability to work with vendors remotely and auditing.
Bringing a can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership and drive results.
Relies on data to justify technical decisions and ability to clearly explain technical
issues
Self-starter with excellent time management skills and curious spirit and willing to
work in fast pace team.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently under high pressure and comfortable working in
a dynamic environment
Have a previous track record of success conducting tests - should also be able to
process and summarize data.
Possess a high level of attention to details.
Description
Works with core team members to define and execute the pack cycling testing across multiple programs and locations
Reviews the data and reaches alignment with cross functional team members on a regular basis and highlights any anomalies in a timely manner
Conducts investigations and prepares reports to support investigations
Defines test plans, reviews procedures and analyzes data for validation activities
Works closely with vendors to oversee battery cycling and resolve issues in a timely manner
Troubleshoots equipment and sample issues, maintaining and solving test equipment problems as needed.
Uses various types of measurement equipment to test batteries and cells.
Education
BS in engineering or applied sciences
