V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Software Engineer - Data Engineering III for our premier client in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Education and Experience »
- Proven experience with large-scale database migrations (10K+ customers, multiple LOBs).
- Strong understanding of Payments and Treasury Management products.
- Expertise in ETL processes, SQL, and Python for automation.
- Familiarity with Cloud data services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of data quality, reconciliation, and compliance best practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »
Must Have:
- Business Intelligence - Data Engineering.
- DB and SQL knowledge.
- Enterprise Applications.
- Previous large scale migration experience.
Nice To Have:
- Experience with Java and WebSphere Application Server (WAS 9).
- Knowledge of data modeling and automation frameworks.
- Python or some ETL language skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines and Python automation scripts for data processing and reconciliation.
- Design and implement data migration strategies from DB2 to Cloud.
- Define and execute migration phases, checkpoints, and quality controls.
- Collaborate with DBAs, architects, application teams, and business stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
