Description

Hardware Service Technician

We're looking for a skilled Hardware Service Technician to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the functionality of a variety of hardware systems, including access controls, audio video (AV), and integrated systems. You'll provide exceptional support to customers, leveraging your ability to troubleshoot, communicate effectively, and adapt to diverse technical challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers in understanding and effectively using hardware systems, including access control, AV, and integrated solutions, through clear communication and guidance.
  • Perform routine on-site maintenance tasks to ensure all systems are operating at optimal levels.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues, including identifying and replacing defective components, with a focus on access controls, AV, and integrated systems.
  • Verify that all systems and components are properly installed, tested, and documented prior to final acceptance.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including hours worked, parts used, and tasks completed.
  • Ensure effective communication with customers, dispatchers, and the Service Manager to provide seamless service.
  • Properly maintain and care for company-assigned vehicles, ensuring they remain clean and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours service calls as scheduled.
  • Train new service team members on hardware products and maintenance techniques.


Requirements

Skilled in CCTV, access control, and audio/video hardware.

Independent problem-solver with strong organizational abilities.

Exceptional communicator adept at presentations and clear written correspondence.

Customer-focused and able to thrive in diverse team environments.

Holds a valid driver's license and is available for flexible hours and on-call rotations.
