Job Title: QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to join a large-scale digital engineering team responsible for a high-traffic consumer application used by millions of users. This platform integrates with more than a dozen internal systems, requiring deep service-level testing expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to validate complex, interconnected workflows.
This role is ideal for someone who has tested enterprise applications with 1M+ active users, understands the business impact behind their testing, and thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $61.00/hr.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to join a large-scale digital engineering team responsible for a high-traffic consumer application used by millions of users. This platform integrates with more than a dozen internal systems, requiring deep service-level testing expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to validate complex, interconnected workflows.
This role is ideal for someone who has tested enterprise applications with 1M+ active users, understands the business impact behind their testing, and thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual, regression, and service-level testing for an application that integrates with 13+ upstream and downstream systems.
- Validate API and service interactions across multiple applications; ensure data integrity, performance, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java, Selenium, and/or JavaScript (50% automation preferred).
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and articulate the business purpose behind test scenarios.
- Analyze logs (Splunk or similar tools) to identify defects, debug issues, and trace failures across distributed systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and support continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Support production certification, deployment validation, and server-side testing activities.
- Provide clear documentation, test plans, and defect reports.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of QA experience with strong manual and regression testing
- Proven experience testing applications that integrate with at least 3 other systems or services.
- Hands-on experience with web services testing (any toolset acceptable: Parasoft, GreenHat, SmartWare, Postman, etc.).
- Automation experience is required (Java/Selenium/JS). Candidates without automation experience will not be considered.
- Experience testing applications with large user bases (1M+ users).
- Strong understanding of servers, deployments, production certification, and distributed system behavior
- Ability to analyze logs (Splunk, Unix logs, or similar) and perform root-cause/defect analysis.
- Ability to clearly explain the business reasoning behind test cases and scenarios.
- Strong Agile experience.
- Computer Science degree strongly preferred.
