RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Java Software Engineer in Westlake, TX.

Summary:
Your primary focus will be as a member on an Agile/Scrum team that partners closely with Business Tribes. Aligned with business priorities, you will be passionate about re-architecting legacy capabilities with a domain driven design for deployment to a cloud environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
* BS or above in Computer Science or related field
* 2+ years of web development experience with proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Core
* Knowledge of building and supporting server-side components using REST API and backend SQL/Stored Procedure Components
* Good experience in database tools and development using SQL
* Experience building and deploying applications in a DevOps environment using CI/CD tools
* Experience with GitHub Jenkins, and uDeploy
* Experience with cloud technologies (Azure preferred)
* Experience collaborating in a team environment as well as working independently
* A demonstrable understanding of the Agile software development practices
* Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
* Organized, highly responsive and committed to quality
* Defined Benefits domain knowledge and experience is a plus
* Experience in API Gateway such as Apigee is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
