Role Application Analyst Ambulatory Systems

Role Summary
The Ambulatory Application Analyst manages EMR scheduling and patient engagement applications used in outpatient specialty clinics. The analyst ensures smooth upgrades and integration between practice management systems, EHRs, and imaging platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Support version upgrades, patching, and workflow testing for ambulatory EHRs
Validate scheduling, registration, and billing workflows post-upgrade
Conduct functional regression testing with clinic end-users
Coordinate interface validation between Ambulatory EHR and imaging systems
Maintain configuration and user access controls
Prepare training materials for clinic staff during system changes
Technical Skills
Knowledge of Epic Ambulatory, AthenaHealth, Cerner Ambulatory
Understanding of HL7, CCD/C-CDA interface troubleshooting
Familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM workstation management
Experience with SQL Server reporting tools and UAT frameworks
Experience
3 5 years in ambulatory EHR and practice management systems
Hands-on experience coordinating EHR upgrades and interface validation
Exposure to multi-location clinic operations and provider scheduling systems
