What You'll Be Doing:
  • Researching, designing, and developing brand-new extraction capabilities with a special focus on transistor-level modeling.
  • Designing highly efficient data structures and algorithms.
  • Modeling interconnect capacitance and resistance for advanced process technologies using pattern-matching and field solver-based methods.
  • Collaborating with other market-leading product developers in layout design, simulations, timing/reliability verification areas.
  • Communicating with a variety of customers to resolve challenging problems in CPU design, validation, signoff, etc.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in our parasitic extraction tool, StarRC.

  • Enhancing the accuracy and performance of our parasitic extraction tool, StarRC, which is the gold standard in the EDA industry.
  • Driving innovation in transistor-level modeling for advanced process technologies.
  • Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our customers' design processes.
  • Contributing to the seamless integration of StarRC with industry-standard digital and custom implementation systems.
  • Supporting the development of high-performance silicon chips and software content.
  • Helping Synopsys maintain its leadership position in the EDA industry through continuous technological innovation.

What You'll Need:
  • MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of relevant CAD/EDA software development experience.
  • Expertise in parasitic extraction/modeling and numerical methods for computational electromagnetic problems.
  • Proficiency in algorithm design, data structures, and C++ programming.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
