About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team in a contingent capacity. This role focuses on the design and development of high-performance trading systems with an emphasis on low latency, high availability, and scalability. You will play a key role in driving technical strategy, mentoring developers, and ensuring engineering excellence across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of full stack trading applications with a focus on performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, change management, and compliance standards.
  • Drive Agile planning processes, ensuring user stories meet Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce branch hygiene, and ensure pull requests are well-documented and secure.
  • Utilize tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, Blackduck, Splunk, and AppDynamics to maintain code quality and system observability.
  • Partner with Developer Relations to identify and address knowledge gaps through training and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering or equivalent experience through work, consulting, military service, or education.
  • Proven expertise in C# .NET and Angular for full stack development.
  • Strong understanding of trading systems, including low latency and high availability requirements.
  • Experience with FIX protocol, MongoDB, Oracle, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Apigee, Redis, AVI load balancers, and OpenShift (OCP).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience guiding architecture review board (ARB)-approved designs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for clean, maintainable code.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
