Description
We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator to join our team in Livonia, Michigan. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage and enhance network systems within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software, ensuring seamless operations across all systems.
Responsibilities:
Configure and manage routers, switches, and other network hardware to maintain optimal performance.
Administer and support Windows Server 2019 and VMware environments, ensuring system stability and security.
Troubleshoot network issues effectively, utilizing ticketing systems to track and resolve problems.
Oversee the operation of local and wide area networks in compliance with company policies.
Implement and coordinate upgrades for network software and hardware, ensuring minimal disruption.
Manage firewall technologies and ensure robust security measures are in place.
Maintain and update Active Directory to support organizational needs.
Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity through effective backup technologies.
Monitor and optimize network performance, addressing potential bottlenecks proactively.
Collaborate with team members to deploy new systems and technologies efficiently.
Requirements
Proven expertise in configuring Cisco routers, switches, and related technologies.
Strong knowledge of firewall technologies and network security best practices.
Hands-on experience with VMware and Windows Server 2019 administration.
Proficiency in Active Directory management and configuration.
Familiarity with Meraki and other network troubleshooting tools.
Solid understanding of backup technologies and disaster recovery practices.
Ability to manage network deployments and configuration management tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills and experience working with ticketing systems.
Must be bilingual (ENG/SPA)
