Title: QA lead-UAT(Ecommerce Domain)

Location: Port Chester, NY

Must-haves:

• Expertise in all areas of e-commerce-driven development and workflows.
• Expertise in UAT
• Strong understanding of front-end JavaScript for QA testing frameworks and CSS/Sass knowledge.

Duration: long-term

The position will report directly to the Director of Project Management and will be part of the IT team responsible for developing and improving our website, showroom, and corporate applications. The role requires strong technical skills and good communication skills for collaboration with the rest of the development team, IT Software Management and Security teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work directly with the development team to test and validate the operation of all code development
• Manage UAT, Regression, and Unit testing in QA and with developers/end users
• Communicate with the development team on issues and bugs that must be corrected before the code is put into production
• Maintain documentation of best practices for the QA process and for the developers to avoid repeating the same issues multiple times.
• Introduce, develop, implement, and maintain testing automation where it adds value via modern QA frameworks (Git, TestRails, etc.)
• Have familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) and CI/CD practices.
• Utilize best-in-class QA software (BrowserStack, BugSnag, New Relic) to help reinforce defect-free applications and team releases.
• Follow industry best practices.
• Document all QA activities and Test plans in accordance with best practices.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject, or equivalent experience preferred.
• A minimum 10 years of solid experience in QA working alongside a team of full-stack developers in a professional environment using object-oriented and MVC design.
• Has owned the full responsibility for leading UAT, Regression, and Unit testing on projects for an organization.
• Has worked with and implemented (hands-on) automated testing software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of modern SDLC, Agile/Scrum, Kanban etc.
• Understanding of GIT / CI/CD pipeline and standard feature branching workflows.
• MYSQL experience with Workbench or equivalent.
• Expertise in all areas of eCommerce driven development and workflows.
• Strong understanding of front-end JavaScript for QA testing frameworks and CSS/Sass knowledge.
• Passion for deploying high-quality and performance applications and a desire to develop new bold ideas.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Sharp attention to detail when working with data sets.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate amongst internal departments.
• Self-motivated and willing to "do what it takes" to get the job done.

NICE TO HAVE:

• AWS systems and familiarity.
• Cyber Security Experience a plus.
