RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Norfolk, VA that is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant.

Summary:
This client is a leading environmentally and socially progressive heavy building materials company located in the eastern United States. They products protect human life and personal property, improve the quality of life, generate economic prosperity and connect society.
This position will be based in Norfolk, VA at the corporate headquarters. The position will perform federal, international, and state tax compliance and planning, calculate annual and semi-annual tax provisions, and coordinate income tax and other tax audits.

Reporting to the Director of Tax, the Senior Tax Accountant will be accountable for the following contributions:
* Research tax issues for review by management and analyze tax impact of proposed transactions
* Prepare annual and semi-annual tax provisions
* Respond to tax correspondence, including income, franchise, and excise tax
* Manage and administer tax tickler file, including filing due dates, returns, payments, etc.
* Research and respond to requests concerning payroll taxes
* Research and communicate tax law changes
* Assist in administering tax audits
* Assist with tax projects, including but not limited to: transfer pricing, R&D credits, provision automation implementation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study with an emphasis on Accounting
* CPA or CPA eligible, preferred
* 3-5 years of professional tax accounting experience
* Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Pro-active attitude with team oriented, collaborative working style
* Self-motivated and results driven with commitment to meeting deadlines
* Commitment to build a network of internal relationships with a broad cross-section of the organization - leveraging organizational knowledge, resources and expertise

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
