The Ads & Data Platform team is responsible for building and delivering the technology that supports Disney's industry-leading, multi-billion dollar advertising business. Working across all of Disney's streaming and linear channels, this team's scope is wide ranging - they impact everything from core infrastructure development to the viewer-first ad formats subscribers see on their screens. Award-winning technologies, like the proprietary Disney Ad Server or DRAX, Disney's programmatic advertising solution, are the backbone of Disney's ad business and a key driver of Disney's future success. The Ad Infrastructure team is seeking a dedicated Senior software and cloud engineer to join our team. Our systems enable DevOps practices so teams' feature releases can be faster and more stable in production. Our platforms and tools reduce the cognitive load of ownership and operations so that teams can devote the majority of their time to delivering business value.

Job Summary
  • You'll write automation tools to support developers deploying and running cloud infrastructure.
  • You will implement and execute best practices and security standards for operating in the cloud.
  • You will contribute to a library of shared terraform modules.
  • When we hit the limits of our scale, you will participate in investigations and RCA's to continuously improve by learning from failures.
  • Work with infrastructure tooling and be a good resource for forming cloud infrastructure as code.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.
  • Provide support to dev teams for our tooling and platform.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Computer Sciences or similar field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Python or Go
  • 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes or EKS
  • Advanced expertise in AWS, Terraform, automation and devops workflows
  • Experience with Spinnaker and Docker

Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Certifications
  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems
  • Experience with Airflow
  • Experience with Istio

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $136,030 to $182,490 per year, in San Francisco is $148,994 to $199,870 per year, and New York, NY or Seattle, WA is between $142,516 - 191,180. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
