Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer / Data Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of our enterprise data platform. This role will be instrumental in shaping and driving the data engineering roadmap, ensuring scalability, performance, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data architecture and engineering strategy aligned with business and technology roadmaps.

  • Design and implement data models, pipelines, and integration frameworks across multiple platforms.

  • Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability, including query tuning in Snowflake.

  • Implement and monitor data validation procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Mentor and guide onsite and offshore data engineering teams.

  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.

  • Document pipelines, transformation logic, and data flow diagrams.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, including Data Architecture, Data Modelling, ELT processes, and pipeline development.

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including secure views and performance optimization.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL/ELT tools.

  • Experience with AWS technologies (Glue, EMR).

  • Python experience for data engineering workflows.

  • Strong understanding of data engineering design patterns.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Snowflake or related technologies.

  • Experience in financial services, asset management, or alternative investments.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
