Job Description:

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

What You'll Do:
  • We are seeking a skilled Architect for ServiceNow app development and integrations, while sharing responsibilities in driving operational optimization and platform modernization initiatives in API, messaging and data layers platforms. You will design and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions, lead integrations with third-party tools, standardize processes, perform root cause analyses (RCAs) for complex issues, and guide modernizations. As a key SME, you'll provide hands-on technical leadership, communicate with leadership, and enable meaningful transformations emphasizing governance, compliance, and system resilience.

What You'll Need:
  • Architectural leadership in ServiceNow app development: Design, build and maintain scoped applications, workflows, tables, and reusable components (e.g., notification apps, catalog items) ensuring compliance with best practices, and data architecture.
  • Hands-on API and integration development: Implement near-real-time inventory solutions for design-time and runtime APIs, topics, and interfaces from gateway portals; integrate third-party tools (e.g., Akamai Noname CMDB) via Kafka or similar technologies
  • Drive governance and compliance initiatives: Transform tools (e.g., API Governance) into ServiceNow with approval workflows, user-friendly interfaces, and self-service portals for onboarding and attestation of internal/external partners.
  • Enhance automation, CI/CD, security, and reliability across ServiceNow and aligned platforms; promote best practices for API-related tables, workflows, and lifecycle management.
  • Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and RCAs: Analyze complex issues in ServiceNow integrations, APIs, and cross-system interactions; derive insights and implement post-incident improvements to M&P, enhanced alerting, or architectural enhancements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship: Lead development teams with hands-on involvement, collaborate with stakeholders, and communicate progress/strategies to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Support platform modernizations: Lead targeted updates, migrations, and optimizations in ServiceNow, aligning with broader efforts in legacy APIs, messaging (e.g., Kafka), and data transformations.
  • Ongoing maintenance and innovation: Provide support, updates, and evaluations of emerging trends (e.g., AI-assisted workflows) to drive organizational impact through intuitive UIs and efficient processes.

What You'll Bring:
  • Hands-on proficiency in ServiceNow technologies: Designing and developing scoped applications, catalog items, workflows, tables, and integrations-must be able to dive into configuration, scripting, and implementation in real-time.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow best practices: Data architecture, table management, approval workflows, and creating intuitive user interfaces for certification/onboarding tasks.
  • Strong expertise in API development and integration: Lifecycle management, governance, compliance, and tools like Kafka for data ingestion; experience with third-party systems (e.g., Akamai Noname, CMDB)
  • Architectural skills in modernizations: Leading transformations (e.g., governance tools to ServiceNow) with direct involvement in design and hands-on execution.
  • Familiarity with automation and DevOps: CI/CD integration, scripting, and optimizing for efficiency in ServiceNow environments.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years in software architecture and development, with a focus on ServiceNow app development, integrations, and platform management in cloud/hybrid environments.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience leading high-impact initiatives in API governance, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting solutions with active development involvement, plus leadership of small teams.
  • Experience in telecom or network environments preferred, including API platforms, messaging, and data integration.
