Job Details

Role: BI Architect
Location: Exton, PA (3 days onsite)
Job Type: 3-6 month contract to hire

Key Technical Requirements:
- Strong BI architecture design expertise
- Deep understanding of data modeling
- Knowledge of data governance best practices
- Comprehensive understanding of development lifecycle
- Ability to understand various technology stacks very deeply
- Can architect complete solutions
- Not just superficial knowledge, but deep technical expertise

Specific Technical Expectations:
- Can create entire analytics platform footprint
- Able to work with vendors
- Guide development processes
- Step in and fix technical issues when needed
- Understand complex analytics requirements

 Preferred Industry Experience:
- Retail or Finance sector
- Deep understanding of complex business processes
- Expertise in:
 * Accounting processes
 * P&L analysis
 * Comprehensive business intelligence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect end-to-end solutions for data integration, transformation, and visualization across multiple platforms.
  • Define and implement best practices for data ingestion, modeling, and reporting.
  • Work extensively with Snowflake and other data platforms to design efficient data pipelines.
  • Good knowledge on Data governance – Data Catalog, Data quality
  • Design Data Product and Data Exchange and Data Sharing
  • Integrate data from diverse sources (ERP, Multiple SaaS platforms, APIs) into a unified analytics environment.
  • Collaborate with various business teams, primarily finance and accounting, Field Service and Sales/Marketing teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Conduct requirement walkthroughs and articulate solution designs to stakeholders.
  • Review and guide code development, ensuring adherence to standards and optimal performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor teams on best practices.
  • Implement reporting solutions using Oracle Analytics, Qlik, or similar visualization tools.
  • Deliver dashboards and reports for financial planning and analysis.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 12+ years in data analytics, solution architecture, and financial domain (retail or financial industry).
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Oracle Analytics, Qlik, and data integration tools.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and API-based integrations.
  • Solid knowledge of finance, accounting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ability to engage in business conversations and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
