Description
We are looking for an Industrial Designer to join our team in Hebron, Kentucky. In this role, you will work closely with clients to gather essential project information and transform concepts into actionable designs. This position requires a strong ability to manage project lifecycles, from initial planning to final implementation, while ensuring precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with customers to define project scope, gather necessary data, and understand design constraints and equipment specifications.
Conduct on-site audits to verify measurements and building layouts, using findings to create preliminary 2D AutoCAD designs.
Coordinate with equipment suppliers to confirm machine interfaces and utility requirements.
Request quotes from vendors and subcontractors for equipment and service needs.
Prepare detailed pricing and proposal documents for customer submissions.
Develop project implementation plans and schedules after receiving customer orders.
Review and approve vendor drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Create final layout designs and comprehensive installation packages.
Oversee project installation and commissioning, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Requirements
Proficiency in AutoCAD with experience creating technical layouts.
Prior experience managing construction or industrial design projects.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple project phases effectively.
Ability to collaborate with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Knowledge of equipment specifications and utility requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in preparing pricing proposals and project documentation.
Ability to conduct site audits and translate findings into actionable designs.
Must have prior design experience within the supply chain industry or conveyer design experience.
