Backend Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Backend Java Developer in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilites:
* Develop and maintain backend systems using Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, and design patterns * Build RESTful APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications
* Write unit tests using JUnit and manage deployments with Maven and Jenkins
* Work with Oracle RDBMS: SQL queries, stored procedures
* Deploy and configure Tomcat servers and standalone Java batch apps
* Use IntelliJ/Eclipse, Git/BitBucket for development and version control
* Operate in Unix/Linux environments and distributed system architectures
* Collaborate in Agile teams using Scrum/Kanban and JIRA
* Communicate effectively across teams and document backend processes

REQUIREMENTS:
* 6+ years of experience in Java application development including Core Java, Spring, SpringBoot, JUnit, Java design patterns, with experience in Java 8
* 4+ years of experience with Oracle RDBMS, SQL Query development, Stored Procedure development
* Experience with Unix/Linux environment & distributed system architecture
* Strong written and verbal communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
