Description

The Information Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the global security strategy and architecture. This role translates business objectives into security processes, enabling technologies and services while considering risk management strategies. The architect develops security standards, ensures regulatory compliance, and actively protects organizational data and networks from breaches. The role requires strategic thinking about the evolving threat landscape and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will:
  • Design and deploy advanced technologies to improve communications and security.
  • Work with experts in cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise cross-domain, and tactical edge systems.
  • Deliver incremental products in an agile environment, supporting national defense initiatives
  • Plan, research, and design security architecture for IT systems.
  • Develop, review, and approve installation requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and related devices.
  • Determine security protocols based on business strategies and requirements.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing thorough post-event analyses.
  • Develop project timelines for system upgrades.
  • Review and enhance system security measures.
  • Conduct regular tests and monitoring of network security.
  • Develop and implement test scripts for security systems.
  • Stay current with emerging security practices and standards.
  • Establish disaster recovery procedures and conduct breach drills.
  • Ensure access to IT systems is limited by need and role.
  • Design, build, implement, and support enterprise-class security systems.
  • Align security strategy and infrastructure with business and technology strategy.
  • Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats.
  • Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
  • Create solutions balancing business and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Identify security design gaps and recommend enhancements.
  • Supervise and guide the security team.
  • Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies and procedures.
  • Train users on system implementation or conversion

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber/Information Security or Information Technology.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT security management, with a proven track record of managing teams in global matrix environment
  • Experience with security technologies: EDR, SIEM, SOAR, CASM, CASB, CSPM, IAM, PAM
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex security issues, devise solutions, and enforce established security controls.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive standardization of processes, procedures, and principles.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent multi-domain cybersecurity focused certification are a plus.
