Susquehanna International Group is seeking a MariaDB Database Administrator to join our team! This role offers the opportunity to leverage your current knowledge of relational database expertise to ensure stability and scalability of our enterprise database platform. You will not only focus on installing, configuring and updating our current environment of hundreds of instances, but will also ensure that current and future instances are optimized to meet the needs of our evolving business.
  • Scalability - This opportunity offers exposure to our high transaction and high availability financial trading environment consisting of multiple database platforms.
  • Collaboration - You will partner closely with fellow database administrators, as well as our development and engineering teams to share ideas and recommendations for solutions that will increase and expand our enterprise database capabilities.
  • Automation - As we continue to look for ways to automate and improve our environment, you will have the opportunity to further develop your scripting skills.
  • Continuous Learning - We are looking for someone with a growth mindset who is interested in increasing their database skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline required


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience with MariaDB required
  • Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server DBA experience preferred
  • Strong relational database knowledge, troubleshooting, and performance tuning required
  • Thorough understanding of the Linux operating system and Linux shell scripting required
  • Thorough understanding of database backup and recovery concepts required
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as SQL Diagnostic Manager for MySQL and Oracle Enterprise Manager or similar tools
  • Knowledge of high availability architectures
  • Cloud experience a plus
