Job Description:

This position works with end users to determine what kind of reports they want and how to structure the reports. They then send it to the bi developers. We need: A senior (10+ years Business Reporting Analyst with a proven record of partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, user-friendly, and best-in-class reporting experiences for different business units in the finance industry (Capital Markets/HedgeFund). The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for dashboard design with extensive experience in analyzing data, gathering and communicating reporting requirements, and building strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders to ensure project success. They will also have a proven record of delivering high-quality, visually compelling Power BI dashboards to an executive audience. Demonstrated success in designing and delivering intuitive, visually engaging Power BI reports and Paginated Reports; a portfolio of report designs is highly desirable.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inquisitive business reporting analyst with a proven record of partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, user-friendly, and best-in-class reporting experiences for different business units in the finance industry.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for dashboard design with extensive experience in analyzing data, gathering and communicating reporting requirements, and building strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders to ensure project success. They will also have a proven record of delivering high-quality, visually compelling Power BI dashboards to an executive audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with business and technology partners to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Build consensus and drive brainstorming and requirements-gathering discussions with cross-functional teams.
  • Translate business reporting requirements into clear technical specifications for BI developers.
  • Partner with BI developers to design and deliver intuitive, visually compelling dashboards and reports tailored to each business line.
  • Advocate for and implement sound, practical data pipeline and reporting processes, operating with a continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering intuitive, visually engaging Power BI reports and Paginated Reports; a portfolio of report designs is highly desirable.
  • Relevant experience in finance industry and private equity
  • Project management experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and advanced visualization techniques.
  • Power BI or equivalent certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with Tableau and Microsoft cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric, ADLS, SQL MI) preferred.
