Description
SCADA System Architecture and Design
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Ignition SCADA solutions across the manufacturing facility.
Design and develop comprehensive SCADA system architectures using Ignition, including HMI interfaces, historian databases, and control system networks.
Create detailed system specifications, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation for SCADA implementations.
Lead technical evaluation and selection of PLC hardware and industrial network technologies.
Architect scalable and secure industrial control system networks with appropriate redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities.
Data Management and Integration
Design data acquisition strategies and historian systems that support manufacturing analytics and operational intelligence.
Lead integration efforts between SCADA systems and higher-level applications (MES, ERP, asset management systems).
Evaluate emerging IIoT technologies and develop strategies to incorporate them into existing SCADA architectures.
Compliance, Standards, and Leadership
Develop standards for PLC programming, HMI design, and industrial communications to ensure consistency across operations.
Ensure OT cybersecurity compliance and implement security controls specific to industrial control systems.
Provide technical leadership for SCADA implementation teams and serve as an escalation point for complex iss
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
7+ years' experience specifically designing and implementing SCADA systems and industrial control networks.
Skills And Abilities
Deep technical knowledge of Ignition SCADA platform, including experience with modules such as Perspective, Vision, Reporting, Alarming, and Tag Historian.
Strong understanding of PLC/RTU programming, industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, etc.), and network architectures.
Experience with industrial database historians and time-series data management.
Expertise in OT cybersecurity frameworks.
Experience architecting high-availability SCADA systems with appropriate redundancy and fail-over capabilities.
Experience deploying Ignition in virtualized environments and configuring high-availability architectures with redundancy.
Experience using Ignition's MQTT modules, IIoT capabilities, and Perspective to implement modern Industry 4.0 solutions.
Understanding of industrial network design including segmentation, DMZs, and secure remote access.
Experience using Ignition as a middleware platform to integrate SCADA data with MES, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
Strong technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance operational requirements with IT/OT security standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
The company will provide a benefits package.
