Role: Cloud Network Infrastructure Engineer. (Karpenter is Mandatory) Location: Las Vegas, NV. (On-site) Duration: Long-Term contract.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain robust cloud environments across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS), and cloud networking, with a proven ability to lead cloud migration initiatives and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead migration from AWS CloudFormation to Terraform, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage lifecycles.
  • Utilize Terraform and Ansible to deploy and maintain cloud environments across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters on EKS, GKE, and AKS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and other tools.
  • Optimize application performance by managing cloud-native services, including Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS-SQL.
  • Implement cloud networking solutions, including VPC, Subnets, Routing, and Security Groups, ensuring adherence to security best practices.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Bash for cloud operations.
  • Utilize Karpenter to efficiently scale and optimize Kubernetes workloads, ensuring cost-effective infrastructure utilization.
  • Utilize Backstage to enhance the discoverability and management of internal software components, improving developer workflows and onboarding.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience migrating from AWS CloudFormation to Terraform.
  • Expertise in deploying and managing cloud environments on AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
  • Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, EBS, ECS, MSK).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and SolarWinds.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud networking and security best practices.
  • Experience with tools like Karpenter to optimize Kubernetes scaling and management.
  • 12+ years in cloud infrastructure engineering, including experience with databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS-SQL.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Kubernetes and other cloud-native services.


Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Azure cloud services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of managing application ecosystems with Backstage for centralized workflows.
