Job Title: Senior Project Manager IT Project Management Support
Location: Remote (EST Business Hours)
Duration: Through August 2026, with potential extension up to 2 years
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling:
Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project or equivalent tools.
Ensure synchronization with the Implementation Master Schedule in collaboration with vendor teams.
Project Execution & Monitoring:
Manage and oversee all project activities throughout the project lifecycle per PMI PMBOK and Vermont ADS EPMO standards.
Track tasks, milestones, dependencies, resources, and deliverables using Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office tools.
Stakeholder & Communication Management:
Facilitate and lead status meetings, change control meetings, risk and issue review meetings, and other project-related discussions.
Maintain stakeholder register and communication plans.
Provide weekly project status reports and participate in risk meetings.
Project Governance & Documentation:
Maintain project documentation including RAID logs, decision logs, deliverable matrices, and change requests.
Organize and archive project artifacts in the designated repository.
Change & Risk Management:
Support IT governance in managing changes in scope, schedule, budget, risk, or resources.
Use a structured process to assess and obtain approvals for project changes.
Financial Tracking & Reporting:
Monitor and update project budgets and expenditures.
Track financial impacts of change requests and support monthly financial reporting.
Project Closure:
Conduct lessons learned sessions and prepared project closeout documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of project management experience, preferably in IT and public sector environments.
Strong understanding of hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
Proven experience with system replacement/upgrade projects and managing multiple vendors and stakeholders.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio) and Azure DevOps.
Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
Ability to manage project financials, track progress, and handle complex governance environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP Certification (preferred)
Experience with childcare or human services IT systems
Experience working with state or local government agencies
Knowledge of IIBA, CJIS, HIPAA, and cybersecurity training requirements is a plus
Other Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Must pass a criminal background check
