Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Senior Cloud Security Engineer (or Cloud Solution Architect) to join our InfoSec team. This is a critical, highly visible role focused on defining, implementing, and enforcing security best practices across our cloud infrastructure. The primary focus will be on Microsoft Azure, with a requirement for a working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). This position requires a strong, independent self-starter who is comfortable engaging directly with senior leadership and development teams.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
● Cloud Security Architecture & Design: Develop, guide implementation, and maintain security reference architectures, design patterns, and standards for our cloud environments (Azure and Google Cloud Platform).
● Security Advocacy & Engagement: Serve as the definitive security representative in application design and development meetings. Must be willing to take a firm position and effectively represent cybersecurity concerns and the InfoSec point of view to ensure solutions are secure-by-design.
● Cross-Functional Communication: Effectively translate complex technical security requirements and risks into clear, actionable terms for both highly technical and non-technical senior-level leaders and business audiences.
● Leadership & Presentation: Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in preparing and delivering formal presentations and informal discussions to senior-level leaders. Must be able to think on their feet and address challenging questions directly.
● Compliance and Frameworks: Ensure cloud designs and implementations adhere to regulatory requirements and internal security policies. Must be familiar with common security frameworks, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
● Guidance and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and oversight to development and operations teams on implementing cloud security controls (e.g., identity and access management, data protection, network security).
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
● Cloud Platform Mastery: Demonstrable, in-depth expertise and hands-on experience with security services and features within Microsoft Azure.
● Secondary Cloud Knowledge: Foundational understanding of the security architecture, services, and controls within Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
● Security Frameworks: Professional experience applying, interpreting, and auditing controls based on industry standards, particularly the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
● Technology Exclusion: AWS experience is NOT a requirement for this role.
● Core Concepts: Expert-level knowledge of cloud security domains, including identity and access management (IAM), data security, network security, container security, and security monitoring within a cloud context.
