Crew software engineering associates use a variety of technologies in Agile and lean startup methodologies to automate manual processes, create microsites, learn new technologies, and everything in between.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, test, and deploy scalable microservices and APIs to support hospital connectivity and internal tooling
Develop customer order service middleware to meet dynamic hospital and business needs
Manage API endpoints and database integrations for real-time order metrics (order history, pricing, tracking)
Own internal platforms that support customer service automation and robotic tools
Write and maintain unit-tested code in JavaScript/Node.js; contribute to Python-based Lambda functions on AWS
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to refine user stories and understand technical story points
Use tools like Postman, Insomnia, and Bruno for API development and testing
Maintain and deploy services within Kubernetes clusters
Leverage Jenkins pipelines for CI/CD, incorporating SonarQube for code quality
Begin integrating Azure authentication across services
Manage Dockerized environments with custom container images for consistent deployments
Qualifications:
Languages: JavaScript, Node.js, Python (Lambda functions)
Cloud: AWS (preferred), Azure (authentication research in progress)
CI/CD: Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker
API Tools: Postman, Insomnia, Bruno
Platform: Kubernetes (API deployment), Apage
Become an SME and go deep when needed
Know how to research and figure things out
Take extreme ownership-tracking not just your work, but how it connects to the global team's progress
Understand the dynamic of working across time zones (India/US teams) and adapt accordingly
Take accountability and act like the lead developer even if you're not labeled that way
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in MedTech, healthcare integrations, or hospital systems
Strong understanding of secure API development and monitoring
Familiarity with global team collaboration and asynchronous workflows
The salary range for this role is $62,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
