Job:Evergreen Deployment Technician

Location :VCW Building at 3205 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208

Onsite Various County Buildings
(Travel in county vehicle driven by a full-time employee)

This is a vacant position supporting the FY26 Evergreen Project. The Evergreen Deployment Technician will be responsible for performing hardware refreshes, including computers and selected peripherals. The role requires onsite support at end users desks, maintaining a professional appearance, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hardware refreshes for desktop and laptop computers

  • Transport, store, and manage computer inventory following documented procedures

  • Push, pull, or lift equipment up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

  • Image computers with Windows 11 using SCCM

  • Schedule computer replacements with end users via ServiceNow

  • Complete computer refreshes directly at end users desks

  • Reclaim, transport, and return old computers

  • Update and document asset inventory in HAM Pro (ServiceNow)

  • Ensure accurate tracking of hardware throughout the refresh process

  • Provide professional, courteous, and customer-focused onsite support

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with computer hardware refresh or deployment projects

  • Hands-on experience with Windows OS imaging (Windows 11 preferred)

  • Familiarity with SCCM

  • Experience using ServiceNow for ticketing and scheduling

  • Ability to follow documented procedures and asset management processes

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with HAM Pro (ServiceNow)

  • Experience with Apple iPhone deployment

  • Prior Evergreen or large-scale device refresh project experience
