We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Architect with deep expertise in PeopleSoft HCM (Human Resources) and North America Payroll modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing scalable PeopleSoft solutions that align with business requirements and enterprise standards. This role requires strong technical and functional understanding of PeopleSoft HR and Payroll processes, integration strategies, and upgrade methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of PeopleSoft HCM and NA Payroll solutions.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs.
  • Work closely with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to identify system gaps and propose improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership in PeopleTools, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and SQR.
  • Design and optimize integrations between PeopleSoft and external systems (e.g., Finance, Time & Attendance, Benefits).
  • Lead PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, and migrations (e.g., from 9.1 to 9.2 or to PeopleTools 8.60+).
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security and data privacy policies.
  • Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting for application and payroll processes.
  • Provide mentorship to developers and guide project teams on best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support payroll processing, year-end activities, and tax updates.

Required Skills:

  • 15+ years of overall PeopleSoft experience with at least 5 years as an Architect.
  • Strong expertise in PeopleSoft HCM, Core HR, and North America Payroll modules.
  • Proficiency in PeopleTools 8.5x/8.6x, Application Designer, App Engine, PeopleCode, SQR, BI Publisher, and Integration Broker.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid UI and Pivot Grids is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of payroll processing, taxes, retro pay, garnishments, and related HR functions.
  • Experience in PeopleSoft on Oracle / SQL Server databases and Unix/Windows environments.
  • Strong background in designing and implementing integration with third-party systems (APIs, Web Services, REST/SOAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies preferred.
