TRiNET Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Lead SQL Database Solutions Developer to architect, develop, and optimize enterprise-level data solutions. This role requires deep expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI, along with strong integration experience with Active Directory. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer and strategic thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment and can translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and insightful data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust SQL Server and Azure SQL database solutions.
- Lead the development and optimization of stored procedures, views, functions, and ETL processes using SSIS.
- Build and deploy operational and analytical reports using SSRS and Power BI, ensuring performance and usability.
- Integrate database solutions with Active Directory for secure authentication and role-based access control.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across database and reporting initiatives.
- Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity planning for SQL environments.
- Document database architecture, processes, and workflows clearly and concisely.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in SQL Server development and database architecture.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and executive presentations.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and relational database design.
- Strong experience with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL and cloud-based data platforms.
- Familiarity with Active Directory integration and role-based security models.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data concepts to diverse audiences.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workflows.
- Proficiency in Python for statistical modeling and machine learning.
Clearance Requirement:
All candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Public Trust Clearance.
**This hybrid role requires a minimum of three on-site days per week in Washington, DC.**
