Description
SAIC is seeking a Test Engineer who will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing testing activities for shipboard C5ISR systems, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards for new ship construction USCG Polar Security Cutter.
Work is performed on site in Pascagoula, MS.
This position is contingent upon award news, expected in Winter 2025.
Duties:
Develop detailed test plans and test sequence index for shipboard C5ISR systems, including software system tests and verification testing
Assess requirements to establish testing approaches to validate system requirements, performance, and safety compliance
Allocation of Technical Contract Requirements, Decomposed and Derived Requirements, and First-tier Reference Requirements to test procedures
Coordinate test activities with Bollinger, USCG, stakeholders, OEM vendors, and system teams for Production Integration Facility tests and new ship trials
Review and analyze test data, documenting and reporting test results
Support troubleshooting and resolution of identified issues during testing phases

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering field
Five (5) years experience in test engineering and extensive knowledge of C3ISR, C4ISR, C5ISR, and/or C6ISR shipboard experience with systems and architecture

Extensive experience in test engineering for complex systems
Proficiency in developing and executing detailed test plans
Strong analytical skills for test data analysis and issue resolution
Knowledge of shipboard C5ISR systems, requirements, and stage 4 - 7 testing
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Experience supporting projects in a Shipyard environment
Required Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance
Required Certification:
Cybersecurity Workforce Level II cert i.e. Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP
Or must be willing to obtain/pass certification within 90 days of hire
