Job Title: Snowflake Data Engineer

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, and Python. The ideal candidate should be based in Houston, TX, and available to join immediately. This role requires hands-on technical ability along with a solid understanding of modern data engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes within Snowflake.

Perform advanced SQL development for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

Design and implement data models to support analytics and business intelligence needs.

Optimize Snowflake performance, including clustering, partitioning, and query tuning.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to deliver scalable data solutions.

Integrate Snowflake with external systems and tools using Python and related libraries.

Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake.

Advanced knowledge of SQL, Data Warehousing concepts, and Data Modeling techniques.

Strong programming skills in Python for automation and data pipeline development.

Experience in building and optimizing large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.

Familiarity with performance tuning in Snowflake.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Must be local to Houston, TX and available to join immediately.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

Knowledge of BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines.
