Amentum is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support an upcoming INSCOM G-4 Global Intelligence Logistics and Engineering (GILE) Support contract. These services will support tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence units, personnel and their ground and aerial intelligence equipment and operations facilities and infrastructure and may occur from multiple locations simultaneously.

Essential Duties:
  • Work with other Government and Contractor engineers to perform the FacilityEngineering Program tasking. 3D design experience in solid modeling programs such as SolidWorks,Unigraphics or Pro-E is a plus.
  • Provide professional engineering support for heating, ventilating and airconditioning (HVAC) planning for Contractor supported locations andfacilities.
  • Support equipment within the designated strategic (fixed), tactical and mobilefacilities or mission equipment shelters and systems inside or outside thesecure areas.
  • Provide testing and balancing services and support for air and water systems.
  • Review engineering design proposals, design drawings, specifications andother technical document submissions and recommend improvements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Government engineers involving all aspects ofHVAC facilities design, construction, operation and maintenance or repair.
  • Review reports and studies to identify deficiencies and participate in theplanning of construction/redesign programs.
  • Utilize appropriate software and hardware tools to track load changes or otherparameters of design, construction, operation and maintenance and repair.
  • Establish energy and heat load budgets with the objective of identifyingcurrent deficiencies, anticipating future requirements and estimating factors tobe included in construction planning.
  • Evaluate and recommend methods of load control (including remote and tele-metering techniques) to reduce utility demand and costs.
  • Prepare design concepts, program development brochures, MILCONprogramming documents, cost estimates, economic analyses, plans andspecifications, and all related construction project documentation forconstruction projects to be executed through contract or with Government in-house resources.
  • Inspect construction projects or existing facilities to identify deficiencies,recommend changes, ascertain compliance with plans and specifications or forother designated purposes.
  • Provide guidance, direction and assistance to technicians working in relateddisciplines.
  • Maintain technical liaison and communication between on-site technicians andthe COR.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must possess a U.S. government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI). Some positions may require a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanicalengineering from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum eight yearsdiversified professional engineeringexperience.
  • Application engineering with experiencein design, installation, operation andmaintenance of automatic control systems.
  • Supervision of plant operations,maintenance and repair of physical plant systems and equipment including large-scale HVAC plants and distributionsystems.
  • Resident engineering experience onconstruction projects with large, complexand highly sophisticated HVAC Systems.
  • Experience with Direct Digital Control(DDC) and Building Automation Systems(BAS).
  • Professional registration preferred.
  • Fluent in English, including the ability toread, write and comprehend technicaldocumentation, schematics and diagramswritten under the ANSI standards.
