Description
The IT Procurement Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the IT department's supplier strategies drive high-quality, on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness. This position manages IT hardware and software vendors and contracts, oversees the purchasing process, and ensures efficient inventory management. Responsibilities include developing and implementing cost management practices, participating in IT procurement projects, and maintaining effective communication with IT team members to support strategic procurement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: IT Procurement Projects: Utilize technology to simplify, streamline, and automate the IT Procurement Process. Contribute to projects that enforce IT purchasing standards and enhance team processes. Engage in IT budgeting and cost reporting projects. IT Procurement Administration: Ensure all procurement activities, including purchase requests, invoice reconciliation, and P-card purchases, adhere to established Accounting procedures and policies. Maintain close communication with the Procurement department to ensure alignment on all IT procurement activities Serve as the primary point of contact for IT regarding vendor performance. Manage relationships with IT hardware/software vendors and oversee contracts. Responsible for the creation and execution of purchase requests for IT hardware, software, and other technology. Manage and track purchase requests. Reconcile invoices and P-card purchases. IT Procurement Cost Management: Analyze, recommend, and implement enterprise IT purchasing practices to achieve cost reductions. Review invoice reconciliation and analysis to identify cost management opportunities. Document and report cost savings. Coordinate the monthly accrual process. IT Asset Management: Oversee the receipt and tracking of IT assets. Coordinate with the Service Desk to ensure timely asset installation. Assist with the proper disposal of end-of-life IT equipment. Ensure software license compliance. Training: Provide knowledge transfer to team members. Assess training needs and participate in relevant training programs.
