Software Engineer

About The Role

The Wellington Group is seeking an Entry-Level Software Engineer to join our healthcare technology team. In this role, you ll help design, develop, and maintain our proprietary healthcare revenue cycle applications. You ll gain hands-on experience across both front-end and back-end development while working with emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and machine learning in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software components for internal and client-facing systems.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to identify issues and deliver practical solutions.
• Enhance existing software to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Work with development tools including Visual Studio, MS SQL Server Management Studio, and GitHub.
• Contribute to documentation, training materials, and technical manuals.
• Support ongoing projects and assist with new product development.
• Perform other duties as assigned; limited travel may be required.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in C# / .NET, SQL, and Windows application development.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

• Up to 2 years of professional experience in software development.
• Familiarity with Python, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, or Blazor.
• Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes a plus.
