Syndigo Developer/ Architect

Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Merchandising Architect/Dev Leadwith deep expertise in Syndigo PIM/Item Management (formerly Riversand) to lead the design, development, and implementation of merchandising solutions. The ideal candidate is well-rounded with experience in implementing Merchandising business solutions and working with cross functional teams across the organization. This position requires outstanding communication and organizational skills, strong resolve and capable of meeting aggressive schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Design & Architecture:

• Design and architect end-to-end solutions using Syndigoto address complex merchandising challenges; and be able to implement and/or configure the changes

• Develop scalable and efficient system configurations, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices.

• Integrate Syndigo solutions with existing systems, including ERP, PIM, and supply chain platforms.

1. Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, inventory, IT, and operations, to gather and document business requirements.

• Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable project plans.

• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights into Syndigo capabilities and recommending optimal use cases.

1. System Implementation & Optimization:

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and testing of Syndigo/Riversand item/product entity tools.

• Optimize new product launch and item enrichment requirements to maximize efficiencies, minimize redundancies, and reduce tool friction.

• Ensure seamless integration with Syndigo/Riversand item entities and other merchandising tools.

1. Project Management & Delivery:

• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Provide leadership during system upgrades, migrations, or enhancements.

• Deliver training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of the solution.

1. Performance Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

1. Technical Leadership:

• Stay updated on the latest Syndigo developments, features, and trends in merchandising and retail technology.

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of technical standards and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

• Experience:

• 5 7 years of experience in merchandising, item management, and new product introduction with at least 3 - 5 years in Syndigo (or Riversand).

• Proven experience in designing and implementing Syndigo/Riversand solutions in retail or e-commerce industries.

• Ability to analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems and/or proven business processes.

• Define business rules and conditions for validations and dashboards.

• Interpret user needs and write functional specifications for new systems, systems changes, system enhancements and/or bug fixes.

• Create test metrics, test plans, identify regression tests and partners with QA for system, integration, and regression tests.

• Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Syndigo/Riversand, including item/attribute creation and management.

• Strong understanding of database structures, APIs, and integration methods.

• Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and troubleshooting system configurations.

• Soft Skills:

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to self-manage multiple projects within tight timeframes and dynamic priorities.

• Strong project management capabilities, including agile methodologies.
