Job Title: Desktop Support Technician
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Duration / Term: Long-Term Contract
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide comprehensive hardware and software support for employees and new hires. This role involves imaging systems, troubleshooting across platforms, inventory management, and executive-level support, with occasional travel between offices (up to 150 miles). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Image and install software on Windows and Apple laptops/desktops, including IMAC setups and remote support
- Troubleshoot post-deployment issues on Windows, macOS, and mobile devices
- Perform printer break-fix, installation, and networked printer queue creation
- Manage hardware refresh, asset reclaim, and disposal logistics
- Coordinate shipping, data backup, and data recovery procedures
- Provide VIP support, walk-up assistance, and audio/video health checks
- Maintain inventory and asset tagging using asset management systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new hire onboarding
- Schedule repairs with external suppliers and ensure compliance with company standards
- Open, track, and close service requests using ticketing systems
- Support Depot operations, spare parts management, and warranty repairs
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 5 years of IT support experience, including technical training
- Proficiency in Windows 10 imaging, Microsoft Office Suite, and macOS
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, Windows Networking, and Ethernet
- Experience with PC-based productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience in call center/help desk environments
- Certifications preferred: MCP, A+
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and possess a valid driver s license
- Own transportation required (mileage reimbursed per policy)
