Key Responsibilities


Administer, monitor, and maintain IBM i (AS400/iSeries) environments supporting core banking applications.

Provide operational support and troubleshooting for the Equation (Finastra/Misys) core banking platform.

Manage GIFTsData interface layer - monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs, data feeds, and message flows to SWIFT and other

Support DB2 on IBM i - execute SQL queries, troubleshoot performance, and ensure database health.

Provide basic support for Oracle databases used for reporting and integration with GiftSoft applications.

Perform system backups, restores, upgrades, and disaster recovery activities.

Implement security patches, upgrades,

and performance tuning for IBM i systems.

Manage user profiles, authority, job scheduling, spool files, and system messages.

Investigate and resolve application integration issues with external systems (SWIFT, Fed, Treasury, Compliance).

Collaborate with business teams to resolve issues.

Coordinate with vendors for escalations.

Document system, database, and application support procedures, runbooks, and operational standards.

Qualifications & Skills

10+ years of hands-on experience as an IBM i (AS400/iSeries) Professional , preferably in banking/financial services.

Strong expertise in AS 400 along with RPG programming , job scheduling, CL programming, and performance tuning.

Experience supporting Equation (Finastra/Misys) or other AS400-based core banking systems.

Knowledge of GiftSoft or similar payment and compliance platform integrated with core banking platforms.

Experience in managing data/message flows between core banking systems and SWIFT.

Proficiency in DB2 for querying, performance troubleshooting, and data management.

Exposure to Oracle databases used for reporting and integration, with ability to troubleshoot connectivity and query issues.

Experience in backup/recovery tools

Understanding of ITIL processes, incident management, and change management.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills,

including application and database layer issues.

Excellent communication skills to engage with end-users, business teams, and vendors.
