Location: Onsite in either Seattle, WA or Kansas City, KS
Duration: 12 months
Start: August 18th
Our client needs a Network Engineer that will support one of the nation s largest Cable Service Providers, reporting to the Service Delivery Manager. This highly technical, customer-facing role involves on-site, post-sales support and troubleshooting of Juniper Networks products
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and support Juniper routers, switches, and SRX Series firewalls.
- Act as liaison between customer and Juniper support teams.
- Provide deployment guidance and assist with network design and optimization.
- Conduct informal training for customer engineering staff.
- Support feature testing and implementation of new services.
Must:
- Hands-on experience with Juniper Networks (JUNOS CLI, SRX, MX, EX Series).
- Strong understanding of IP networking and protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSVP, IPv6).
- Expertise in security best practices (firewalls, NAT, IDS/IPS, DDoS mitigation, AppFW).
- Experience in LAN/WAN environments and Service Provider NOC/SOC operations.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with third-party network products and SIEM tools (Arcsight, STRM) is a plus.
