Job Title: Project Manager
Industry: Financial Services
Contract term: 12 months - potential to extend or convert
Location: San Antonio, TX - 4 days on site, 1 day remote
Rate: up to $45/hr.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale initiatives within the financial services sector. This role is responsible for end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance), strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the delivery and quality of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Define and maintain program strategies based on risk, size, and complexity.
Develop and manage project schedules, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
Track performance across time, scope, cost, quality, and contractual deliverables.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Facilitate meetings with executive management and sponsors to define solutions and delivery plans.
Prepare and present progress reports to senior leadership.
Collaborate closely with program managers and stakeholders to ensure business excellence.
Drive adoption and sustainment of change initiatives using change management methodology.
Identify business opportunities and contribute to client relationship development.
Required Qualifications:
Strategic Program Management (6+ years): Proven experience defining and executing multi-year business plans and managing large-scale projects.
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in facilitating leadership meetings, negotiating tradeoffs, and aligning cross-functional teams.
Risk & Change Management Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of risk policies, compliance procedures, and change management principles.
Tools/Technologies:
Microsoft Suite: Used for documentation, reporting, and communication.
JIRA Work Management (JWM): For tracking requirements, managing backlogs, and aligning Agile teams.
Clarity: For portfolio and program tracking, resource management, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in financial services
Strong understanding of BFSI functions and regulatory environments.
Familiarity with financial services processes and governance standards.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
