Department Statement:
Financial Aid and Scholarship Services is one of several departments comprising Academic Enterprise Enrollment which utilizes a variety of strategies to enroll and support a varied student population representative of Arizona State University's vision. The Financial Aid and Scholarship Services unit strives to provide excellent customer service with the goal to make each student's application for financial aid a simple and affordable process. Each staff member is committed to helping a student finance their education by effectively utilizing scholarships, grants, work-study and loans. The unit provides tools to help determine the cost of attending ASU, including a scholarship portal to search for available scholarships. The department also provides resources for students to use to budget their money and a student employment unit which processes department requests for student workers.

Job Description:
Salary range: $61,400 - $65,478 per year; offer dependent on experience
The systems support team within the Financial Aid and Scholarship Services office exists to provide student information system analysis, development, and support for the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system as it relates to financial aid administration. This includes testing of Campus Solutions PUMs and upgrades, and working with UTO developers on functional requirements and changes to modifications of existing functionality. It also includes documenting system functionality, working on student data, report writing for internal constituents, and assisting users (both internal to Financial Aid and Scholarship Services as well as with users in academic departments, deans' offices, and other student services offices) with functionality/questions, and troubleshooting system issues found and/or reported. This group also provides batch processing related to financial aid awarding and disbursement, works with the security coordinator to determine system access for modifications, and serves as backup for certain security related responsibilities.
Essential Duties:
Days and Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00pm are standard business hours; to include some evenings and weekend work based on project needs.

Activities are performed in an environmentally-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse. Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Essential Duties:
- Runs and maintains critical systems and operations at set times in support of the administration of financial aid.
- Gathers information, identifies causes of problems, and takes appropriate action to resolve issues for a variety of software and business processes.
- Assists in development and execution of test plans. Works closely and in conjunction with technical staff during build and implementation of solutions.
- Develops and delivers instructional training on the use of supported technology products and systems, and provides personalized instruction as needed.
- In the review of existing systems and processes, applies the techniques and principles of process and procedure re-engineering in the design and development of new systems and processes.
- Where possible, develops and recommends alternative solutions to existing system and processes.
- Works directly with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Application Developers, and Customers to ensure software processes are maintained.
- Maintains knowledge of structure and location of various data sources to assist in the creation of queries and applications utilizing the data sources.
- Liaison between functional project team and technology support organization to ensure timely, complete, and accurate communication of project or issue status.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication with customers, other technology specialists, and vendors about services.
- Provides input on application testing and performance of tests.
- Responsible for business analysis and development of Campus Solutions existing and new functionality.
- Troubleshoot issues identified internally and/or reported by constituents.
- Create PS Query reports to be used in internal business processes.
- Write business cases and functional design documents.
- Maintain accurate business process documentation.
- Set up Campus Solutions 3C processes.
- Set and adhere to established development and "go-live" deadlines.

Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge with Structured Query Language or other database query tools to report data from data stores.
- Experience in identifying, resolving, and communicating complex problems with application system processes and data products (1 year ).
- Experience in process flow diagramming and documentation. Use of tools such as Visio or LucidChart preferred.
- Experience in creating conceptual solutions that are technically feasible within current system constraints.
- Experience using large ERP or CRM systems as well as other vendor supplied software products. PeopleSoft, Workday, or Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Experience with system and business process improvement methods and approaches.
- Experience selecting data from a data store and analyzing the results.
- Experience acting as a liaison between technical and non-technical staff members.
- Experience in communicating with and serving customers in a positive and professional manner.
- Experience with administration of Title IV financial aid scholarships, particularly via the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions ERP.
