Linux Admin

Job Description We are helping a trading firm hire a Linux Admin for their second shift. They are looking for this person to be a guru of Linux. They are looking for someone who has experience tuning the Linux kernel, working on Linux OS, and configuring servers. Your main responsibility will be to monitor the markets during the Asian hours. Their office is located near the Board of Trades in Chicago, and will be 5 days onsite. The second shift hours are Monday-Thursday 2:30-11:30 PM and Sunday 4:00-11:30 PM.

This office is none like any other office I've seen. The managers and team are extremely wholesome and really looking for that right fit. They aren't just looking to pass on any candidate, but rather give each candidate a shot as well as see if they'd be a fit. The company was just acquired but has been around since 2013. Required Skills & Experience

• Profifency with Linux OS, Redhat, and Ubuntu
• Experience configuring servers and tuning the Linux Kernel
• SQL admin experience
• Familiarity with bash scripting
• Ability to be onsite 5 days a week at the desired times.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or familiar field
• 4-5 years of experience with Linux
