Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer

Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant
Preferred Certification:
Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Platform Developer I (asset)
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Required Skills:
5+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Proven ability to design and optimize customer journeys using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Mobile Studio.
Strong proficiency in SQL, AMPscript, SSJS, and API integrations.
Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including data ingestion, modeling, identity resolution, and calculated insights.
Solid understanding of data-driven marketing, personalization, and segmentation strategies.
Experience creating and maintaining data ingestion flows and calculated insights for customer profile unification.
Excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset).
Experience mentoring junior Salesforce developers and enforcing best practices.
Familiarity with Salesforce release management, version control, and deployment strategies.
Overview:
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud Developer will design, develop, and optimize personalized, data-driven marketing solutions within Salesforce. This role will focus on integrating diverse data sources, harmonizing customer profiles, and building scalable marketing journeys and automations.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and implement customer journeys in Journey Builder and Automation Studio, enabling multi-channel engagement through email, SMS, and push notifications.
Connect and integrate external databases and APIs into Salesforce Data Cloud to unify customer profiles and ensure reliable data pipelines.
Build and maintain data ingestion flows, data models, and calculated insights to power segmentation and personalization.
Write and optimize AMPscript, SQL, and SSJS for dynamic content, automation, and audience targeting.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate marketing requirements into scalable, technical solutions.
Establish and enforce coding, deployment, and data governance standards across Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud environments.
Create and maintain technical documentation for customer journeys, integrations, and automation processes.
Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in data connectivity and journey development.
Stay updated on new Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud features, releases, and best practices.
