Job Description:
Position Summary:

Our client is starting to integrate with MRAS/Allfinanz (underwriting rules engine) to automate Individual Life Insurance underwriting decisions. This position will involve designing and developing our first iterations of rules within Allfinanz. This position requires experience with designing and development of underwriting rules within Allfinanz, as well as analysis of current rules to improve and expand underwriting automation. We are also looking for someone to mentor rules developers who have underwriting experience but little to no Allfinanz rules experience. Ideally we are also looking for someone to help guide us on what additional components from Allfinanz we need or dont need, and guidance on overall Allfinanz integration within the Life Insurance purchase journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an Allfinanz rules developer, supporting the integration of Allfinanz and underwriting automation.
  • Work with our underwriting department on understanding our automation goals, designing and developing the build out of underwriting rules within Allfinanz.
  • Provide input on rules and automation strategy.
  • Unit test developed rules in Allfinanz
  • Work with Quality Engineer to define testing and automated testing needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and issues related to Allfinanz rules.
  • Mentor less experienced team members on Allfinanz rules and related modules.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and developing MRAS/Allfinanz rules in the insurance industry
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to learn quickly and independently
  • Experience in mentoring others

Desired Skills
  • Life Insurance underwriting experience
  • Ability to collaborate with teams at all levels
