Job Title: Information Security Analyst - Data Loss Prevention (DAR Scanning Specialist)

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Information Security Analyst to support our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives, with a focus on Data at Rest (DAR) scanning. In this role, you will contribute to the protection of sensitive data by conducting ad hoc scans of network share targets and identifying opportunities for process improvement within the Information Security domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform low to moderately complex DAR scans across network share environments to identify and mitigate data security risks.
  • Analyze and evaluate security data to support tactical decision-making and compliance with internal policies.
  • Recommend solutions for resolving security issues and improving existing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate findings and support remediation efforts.
  • Develop a working knowledge of security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide occasional off-hours and weekend support as needed for scan execution and incident response.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in Information Security Analysis or a related field, demonstrated through professional experience, military service, education, or training.
  • Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention tools and techniques, especially related to Data at Rest.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with enterprise-level DLP platforms and scanning tools.
  • Understanding of information security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
