Job Title: Data Warehouse Architect
Location: New York/EST area Hybrid/Remote]
Duration: 6+ Months (Can be extendable)

Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, ETL design, data integration, and analytics architecture, along with hands-on experience with leading data warehouse platforms (such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, or on-premise systems like Teradata / Oracle / SQL Server DWH). This role is critical in enabling scalable, high-performance data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end data warehouse architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Define and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) and data flow diagrams.
- Design and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, Matillion, or native cloud services.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to deliver optimized data structures for reporting and analytics.
- Establish and enforce data governance, data quality, and metadata management standards.
- Optimize data storage and query performance across multiple environments (on-premises and cloud).
- Evaluate and recommend data warehouse tools, frameworks, and technologies aligned with business strategy.
- Support data migration, replication, and integration from multiple data sources (ERP, CRM, APIs, etc.).
- Work with business stakeholders to define data requirements and KPIs for enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, design decisions, and data lineage.
Primary Skills:
- Data Warehouse Architecture & Design (Star/Snowflake schema, OLAP/OLTP concepts)
- Data Modeling Tools: ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar
- ETL / ELT Tools: Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, Matillion, dbt
- Database & DWH Platforms:
- Cloud: Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery
- On-Prem: Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, Netezza
- SQL & Performance Tuning advanced proficiency
- Data Governance, Data Quality, and Metadata Management frameworks
- Cloud Data Architecture (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) design and implementation
- BI / Analytics Integration: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik (preferred)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6 10 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing, with at least 5+ years in a Data Architect role.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, dimensional modeling, and normalization.
- Proven experience designing high-performance, scalable data warehouse solutions.
- Hands-on experience with ETL pipelines, data integration, and data orchestration tools.
- Excellent understanding of SQL, query optimization, and data partitioning strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Snowpipe, Glue, etc.).
- Knowledge of real-time or streaming data architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming).
- Experience in implementing Data Lakes and Lakehouse architectures.
- Familiarity with security and compliance best practices (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, or SnowPro.
