Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer/Manager to join our program supporting the biomedical research community for our customer with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration and management of NHLBI's applications and services to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Design, implement and maintain cloud environments including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure all cloud systems adhere to NIH security requirements and standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud engineering and management.
  • Experience in a biomedical research or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Experience tracking and optimizing cloud costs
  • Azure Solutions Architect expert, Azure AI fundamentals

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working at NIH
  • Experience working with multiple cloud providers
  • Experience with Jenkins and GitHub

The likely salary range for this position is $145,010 - $196,190. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
